Clojure/Conj is the original Clojure conference of the global community. First held in 2010, it has grown into the world's most important gathering for developers and organizations building with Clojure, now in its 16th year.
This year, the conference returns to the Charlotte Convention Center, Charlotte, NC (September 30 – October 2), the same venue that brought the community together last year. In a milestone moment for the ecosystem, Clojure turns 19 in October: right as the community gathers again in Charlotte.
The event is organized by members of the Clojure team at Nu, with Nubank as host, and will be available both in-person and via free livestream, making it accessible to the entire global Clojure community.
Nubank's relationship with Clojure goes far beyond hosting a conference. From day one, Nubank made the strategic decision to build its entire backend on Clojure, betting on the language's simplicity and power at a scale few companies had attempted. That conviction led to one of the most consequential moves in the language's history: in 2020, Nubank acquired Cognitect, the consultancy that had sponsored and maintained Clojure since its early days. Through the acquisition, Nubank incorporated a world-class team and committed to not only maintaining Clojure as an open-source language, but also contributing to its development and supporting the broader ecosystem. Nubank is now the key corporate sponsor of Clojure.
